Ethanol e-trading
Following up on ethanol, CBOT ZE electronic trading started on May 31, side by side with the open cry AC auction.
Trading hours from 9:30 AM through 1:15 PM and 6:36 PM through 6:00 AM, Central time.
You’ll find ethanol futures contract most salient features here.
Like I’ve mentioned before, I think it’s an interesting venue to
look into. Prices for July open cry ethanol AXN06 have been moving
spectacularly well…

Still, caution is warranted, volume is extremely thin…

But, there’s an interesting fact to the volume involved, during
April 90% was for delivery. So, it would appear that commercials do the
actual trades for their own needs –or, speculators are at a low as of
yet…
